Our knitting group had a yarn swap/package up mystery bags for YarnCon meetup yesterday.
We had the meetup at a member’s house (Dani’s house), and we filled, FILLED a table with yarn.
There were a lot of people there, too. At least 25.
Then we started handing out bags and markers and people got to packing. I filled a couple of bags, then dodged out of the way. I believe it took less than 10 minutes to pack 60 bags.
I’ll be getting the final count on how many bags we filled later on, and I’ll fill you in.
Also accomplished yesterday (aside from knitting) is getting a plethora of measurements taken for sweater making.
It was awesome. Normally I hate clothes shopping, and the reason is because of how jacked up the sizing is. I could be anywhere from a 10 to an 18, depending on the brand. And I’ve even tried on two of the same garment (jeans) same cut and style by the SAME MANUFACTURER, to find that even though they’re marked the same size, one is way bigger than the other.
With sweater measuring, I know how wide I am and at what points, so I can just make a sweater that fits those dimensions and be done with it.
Here’s the knitting I’ve accomplished yesterday:
